A painting about the Final Events of Earth. It is prophesied that God's true people will be persecuted by the whole world at the end of time. A world-wide religious system will be established. It will end in the persecution of God's own faithful people. Those who keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus.
"Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus." - Revelation 14:12
The survivors of God's people will be 144,000 in number. All the rest will be killed long before Jesus returns. I made this painting when I was in college. Not knowing I would now be having dreams about being in the 144,000.
In my dreams, the Holy Spirit has taught me that the 144,000 will be protected by God from death. He will spare them from death. Some of them will be captured and be put in prison. But He will also keep them alive. But some of the 144,000 will be hidden by God in the most secluded and remote wilderness areas of Earth. He will hide them in the mountains and forests. He will provide for their physical needs by feeding them Manna and water.
The 144,000 will not die. A death decree will be made by the ruling religious system, to kill all of God's surviving 144,000 people for not giving in to their false system of religion. When that day comes, and the 144,000 are about to be killed, God will step in. He will rescue His people from death. In the great cataclysmic Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Then the false religious people will find out how wrong they were.
"Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” - Revelation 6:12-17
