A painting of a pure white horse I made during college. I find it a little prophetic. I did not know then, I would now be having dreams where God represents me as the white horse of Revelation. A symbol of the 144,000. The pure white horse Jesus returns on.
All the symbolic beasts that come out of the sea in the Book of Revelation are violent and bloodthirsty. But the white horse is the opposite to them all. A symbol of purity from sin, innocence, and non-violence.
However, the One who rides the white horse is Jesus. Who will kill all sinners from the face of the Earth when He returns. So there is a contrast here. The white horse must be pure from sin, innocent, and harmless. It is God who takes vengeance. Not His final survivors: the 144,000. He RIDES on the 144,000 being INNOCENT, HARMLESS, & PURE.
Unfortunately, nowadays, the Christian world has got things entirely backwards. They think they have the right to take vengeance and shed blood in the name of God. When Jesus returns in power and glory, they will find out how wrong they were.
